Junior Woodshop for Homeschoolers

Join us for our Junior Woodshop Program. A series of courses that are designed to teach students to to use tools in a safe and careful environment while building skills they will use for a lifetime.

Course Dates: October 5, 12, 19, 26th
Course Dates: November 2, 9, 16, 30th

Course #1 – Join us for the first course in our Junior WoodShop program. Your child will learn and use tools in a safe and careful environment while building skills they will use for a lifetime. Intro to WoodShop is the first of 4 courses in the WoodShop program and covers studio safety, introduction to tools and each participant will hand build a wooden toolbox.

Course #2 – Join us for the second course in our Junior WoodShop program. Your child will enjoy an engaging STEM project in geometric design. Each student will create their own geometric design out of wood blocks, stencils and paint. As an added bonus they will learn a framing technique to display their new masterpiece.

Course 3: Hand Finishing Techniques will guide your child through the basics of color theory and how it relates to finishing a wood crafted project. Professional finishing techniques will be shared on how to distress and age projects by hand to perfection.

Course 4: Be your own designer. Put your newly found skills to the test! This class will allow students to combine woodworking and finishing skills in a custom design that allows the student to be the designer.

Pricing: Each course is $200 per student (for four classes in October OR November)

Important Notes: This course is recommended for students ages 7-12 years old. Students should wear closed toe shoes and wear clothing they can get paint on. Water bottles are recommended.
